Operator – Forklift

The Operator - Forklift moves, stacks and stages goods safely within a warehouse, production facility or loading area. The role supports material flow while protecting people, inventory and equipment. Safe driving, load awareness and compliance with traffic routes are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate the forklift only for tasks covered by training and authorization.
• Check the equipment before use and report damage, warning indicators or unsafe conditions.
• Lift, move and stack loads while maintaining stability and visibility.
• Follow marked routes, pedestrian rules and loading-area procedures.
• Place goods in the correct location and report inventory or handling discrepancies.

Requirements and Qualifications

Candidates should have the required forklift authorization for the work location and practical skill handling loads safely. Experience in warehousing, production or logistics is useful. Careful checks and disciplined compliance with operating rules are essential.

Work Approach

Check the route and load before moving, lower forks when travelling as required and sound warnings at blind spots. Stop if visibility, load stability or pedestrian separation is not safe.

Performance Expectations

Good performance means materials reach the correct location without damage, equipment concerns are reported and people remain safe around moving loads. Never operate beyond authorization or exceed equipment capacity.
