Technical Product Owner

Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank is seeking a Technical Product Owner to manage the delivery of digital solutions and coordinate internal and external technology teams. The position combines product ownership with technical understanding, requiring the ability to translate business needs into delivery requirements and manage execution from planning through implementation. Experience in banking, particularly SME onboarding, payments or lending, is highly relevant to this opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

• Support product vision and translate business objectives into structured roadmaps, value streams, metrics and delivery plans.
• Conduct customer and competitor research and use data and feedback to prioritise technology and digital product delivery.
• Build and maintain prioritised Jira backlogs containing user stories and epics.
• Coordinate product squads around agreed objectives and key results and help remove delivery blockers.
• Work with other squads and technology platforms to achieve effective outcomes in a scaled Agile environment.
• Engage users and stakeholders to understand needs and convert them into clear product requirements.
• Act as the central coordination point for execution, dependencies and information flow between business and technology teams.
• Manage functional and non-functional requirements, technical debt and delivery dependencies while maintaining focus on deadlines and quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.
• Experience managing technical product delivery and coordinating internal and external technology teams.
• Banking experience is preferred, particularly SME banking, onboarding, payments or lending.
• Understanding of functional and non-functional requirements, technical debt and underlying technology.
• PMP, PRINCE2, ITIL or equivalent certification is advantageous.
• Strong collaboration, prioritisation, stakeholder-management and multitasking skills.
