Job Overview

University Hospital Sharjah is recruiting for the Sustainability Officer position in Sharjah, UAE. Key Responsibilities

• Implement hospital sustainability initiatives covering energy, water, waste and procurement.
• Develop and update sustainability policies and procedures.
• Monitor compliance with environmental and healthcare requirements.
• Track energy, water, waste and carbon-related performance indicators.
• Lead waste-reduction, recycling and responsible-disposal initiatives.
• Collaborate with clinical, facilities and administrative teams.
• Deliver sustainability awareness and staff-training activities.
• Prepare performance reports and engage external stakeholders and sustainability networks.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, sustainability, public health, facilities management or related field.
• At least 3 years relevant sustainability, environmental health or facilities experience.
• Healthcare sustainability experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of UAE environmental regulations and sustainability frameworks.
• Healthcare-waste management knowledge is advantageous.
