Staff Physician, Radiology

Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare (JHAH) is recruiting a Staff Physician, Radiology in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. The physician will provide high-standard diagnostic imaging services to eligible JHAH patients under the approved credentials and privileges of the hospital. The role covers general radiology across inpatient, outpatient and emergency settings, with responsibilities involving fluoroscopy, special procedures, ultrasound, CT and MRI, as well as quality, safety, education and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and timely diagnostic radiological examinations and document findings in the electronic health record.
• Interpret and perform general radiology examinations for inpatient, outpatient and emergency patients within approved privileges and professional competence.
• Perform or interpret studies involving fluoroscopy, special procedures, ultrasound, CT and MRI as assigned.
• Apply radiation-protection procedures and support safe imaging practices.
• Consult with requesting physicians and colleagues to ensure examinations are clinically appropriate and necessary.
• Participate in after-hours and weekend radiology on-call coverage according to departmental requirements.
• Work closely with radiologic technologists and provide guidance on imaging techniques when appropriate.
• Participate in quality improvement, audits, clinical conferences, research meetings and interdisciplinary activities supporting JCAHO, CBAHI and ACR standards.
• Maintain confidentiality, complete medical records accurately and participate in hospital committees and education activities.
• Support major-disaster planning and deputize for consultants when required.

Requirements

• Medical qualification and completed residency training appropriate to Radiology.
• Minimum two years of specialty experience after residency training and internship, preferably in a university-affiliated teaching hospital.
• Eligibility to work within JHAH credentialing and privileging requirements.
• Commitment to continuing medical education and maintaining current clinical knowledge and skills.
• Ability to teach and support junior physicians, medical students and interns.
