Spa Treatment Supervisor

The Spa Treatment Supervisor oversees daily treatment-area operations at Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi. The position ensures high treatment and guest-service standards, coordinates therapist training and assessments, manages supplies and linens, supports sales targets and promotions, and maintains hygiene, equipment and operational controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a high standard of treatment and guest service across the Spa.
• Manage training plans, assessments and development records for therapists.
• Coordinate training requirements with the Learning & Development function.
• Conduct LQA and Forbes refresher training and promote consistent best practices.
• Control stock, stock takes and orders for professional products, amenities and treatment tools.
• Monitor spa-linen stock levels and condition.
• Ensure treatment rooms meet cleanliness and hygiene requirements.
• Support demonstrations, events, spa promotions and marketing activities.
• Motivate therapists and report team morale and operational issues to the Spa Operations Manager.
• Lead by example and perform treatments to the required quality standards.
• Support therapists who need coaching in upselling and contribute to sales targets.
• Check treatment equipment regularly and follow up on maintenance issues.
• Maintain operational supplies and assist with other duties assigned by the Spa Operations Manager.

Candidate Profile

• 2–3 years of experience in a luxury spa or wellness environment.
• Previous supervisory or team-lead experience is preferred; resort experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of spa treatments, massage techniques, body treatments and wellness services.
• Ability to lead, coach and motivate Spa Therapists.
• Excellent guest-service and communication skills.
