Electrician

The Electrician at Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi is responsible for operating, maintaining and repairing hotel electrical systems in line with engineering standards. The role supports preventive maintenance, guest maintenance requests, safe working practices, technical support for hotel functions and dependable service across guest and back-of-house areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical-system operation, maintenance and repair work as required.
• Perform preventive and routine maintenance on electrical equipment.
• Respond to guest maintenance requests promptly and support timely resolution.
• Maintain a clean, safe and professional appearance before entering guestrooms or public areas.
• Keep workshops and related engineering areas clean and organized.
• Follow prescribed electrical, security and safety standards at all times.
• Provide technical assistance to other departments during functions, promotions and events.
• Follow supervisor instructions and complete assigned technical projects.
• Work collaboratively with other departments to support guest satisfaction.
• Protect guest privacy and security while carrying out maintenance work.
• Communicate clearly and follow requests through to completion.
• Participate in shift work and overtime when required by operational needs.

Candidate Profile

• Previous experience in the same role in a luxury property; resort experience is a plus.
• Diploma, ITI certificate in Electrical or equivalent technical qualification.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, control panels and safety procedures.
• Ability to read technical diagrams, blueprints and manuals.
• Familiarity with hotel engineering and preventive-maintenance systems.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a guest-oriented environment.
