Senior Relationship Manager, Contracting

Job overview: Commercial Bank of Dubai is seeking a Senior Relationship Manager, Contracting to join its banking team in the United Arab Emirates. Manage corporate banking relationships with customers in the contracting industry. The position focuses on portfolio development, new client acquisition and the structuring of appropriate credit facilities for contractors and related businesses. The successful candidate will work with colleagues and stakeholders to support reliable service, sound decisions and the bank’s operating standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and develop an assigned portfolio of contracting clients, retaining relationships and identifying growth opportunities.
• Acquire new corporate customers and promote suitable lending, trade, deposit and treasury products.
• Analyse client financial information, contracts, project cash flows and working-capital requirements.
• Negotiate credit facilities in line with underwriting standards and prepare detailed credit proposals.
• Conduct regular client visits and maintain accurate reports on customer needs, business opportunities and risk developments.
• Coordinate with internal product, credit, legal and operations teams to deliver solutions and resolve issues.

Requirements and qualifications

• Candidates should have 9–10 years of corporate banking experience, including at least 3 years of exposure to the contracting industry.
• Commercial acumen and the ability to prepare plans and strategies are required.
• Ability to build close relationships with external stakeholders as a senior bank representative is important.
• Demonstrated ability to organise work, manage priorities and meet agreed deadlines.
• A professional approach, sound judgement and commitment to accuracy and confidentiality are important.
