Procurement Manager (UAE National Only)

Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank is seeking a Procurement Manager to manage sourcing, supplier selection, contract negotiations and procurement performance. The role is responsible for obtaining commercially competitive outcomes while maintaining transparency, governance and compliance with established procurement processes. The successful candidate will combine market knowledge and negotiation skills with sound judgement, supplier management and team leadership to improve value and control expenditure.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage supplier selection, bid planning, proposal evaluation and contract renewals in accordance with procurement procedures.
• Negotiate critical supply contracts and review requests for deviations from approved specifications and deliverables.
• Assess procurement risks, particularly risks that could affect cost, timelines, service continuity or fairness in the bidding process.
• Support cross-functional procurement strategies designed to reduce costs, control spend and deliver sustainable savings.
• Monitor adherence to procurement procedures and correct process gaps or inaccuracies.
• Track procurement performance metrics and recommend actions to improve effectiveness and reduce expenses.
• Negotiate with current and prospective vendors to secure competitive commercial and service terms.
• Lead and supervise the procurement team, supporting performance, policy compliance and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• UAE Nationals only.
• At least 6 years of procurement management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Procurement or a related discipline.
• Chartered Accountant or equivalent professional qualification is preferred.
• Strong judgement and problem-solving ability, including the ability to work under pressure.
• Good understanding of sourcing and procurement techniques, market dynamics and macroeconomic factors.
• Strong negotiation and networking skills.
• Knowledge of supplier or third-party management software.
