MORTUARY TECHNICIAN (مأمور ثلاجة الموتى) الاحساء

Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare (JHAH) is hiring a Mortuary Technician for its Al Hasa operation. The role is responsible for the safe, hygienic and dignified handling of deceased patients and for maintaining the physical and administrative controls required within the hospital mortuary. The technician will monitor cold-storage conditions, maintain chain-of-custody records, coordinate cleaning and infection-control measures, and support authorized release and identification processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive deceased patients from clinical wards, verify dual identifiers and accurately document the chain of custody.
• Maintain the morgue register and ensure required documentation remains complete and accurate.
• Monitor and record temperature and humidity in cold chambers and immediately report any deviation from required conditions.
• Coordinate terminal cleaning and disinfection of storage units, hydraulic lifts and mortuary surfaces using approved hospital-grade products.
• Apply Ministry of Health precautions for high-risk infectious bodies, including appropriate shrouding and bagging procedures.
• Assist forensic authorities with body identification and sample preservation when police or forensic cases arise.
• Release bodies to authorized families or municipal services in accordance with hospital procedures.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, environmental safety and organization throughout the mortuary facility.
• Handle patient-related documentation and information confidentially and respectfully.
• Coordinate with relevant clinical, administrative and external stakeholders when authorized mortuary services are required.

Requirements

• Diploma or Associate Degree.
• Valid SCFHS registration.
• Zero to two years of healthcare experience.
• Advanced Arabic and intermediate English.
• Knowledge of mortuary procedures, hygiene, documentation and safe handling practices.
• Strong attention to detail, professionalism, integrity and respect for families.
