HEAD, RESERVOIR STUDIES (MM-ALR)

Lead subsurface studies for the Maydan Mahzam, Bul Hanine and Al-Rayyan fields, supporting the maturation of contingent resources into reserves. The role manages geoscience and reservoir-engineering activities and develops robust field-development options that maximize recovery and value while managing uncertainty.

The role requires collaboration across relevant teams, accurate documentation and early escalation of risks that may affect safety, quality or delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead geologists, geophysicists, petrophysicists and reservoir engineers in integrated field studies.
• Coordinate geological, geophysical, petrophysical and reservoir-engineering work across the relevant reservoirs.
• Oversee subsurface models, reserves estimates, annual reserves reviews and long-term production forecasts.
• Provide technical input to appraisal, exploration, production and injection well proposals and review drilling or workover plans.
• Identify subsurface uncertainties, plan data acquisition to reduce risk and contribute to annual budgets and team development.

Requirements and Experience

• At least 15 years in upstream oil and gas exploration, development and production is required.
• At least ten years of direct technical experience in reservoir geoscience, reservoir engineering and subsurface field development is required.
• Strong commercial, leadership, contract-management and multicultural team-working skills are important.

Qualifications

BSc in Geoscience or Engineering; MSc or PhD desirable
