Head of Equities Delta Trading

Lead the equities delta trading desk with responsibility for strategy, execution, risk management and performance across regional and global equity markets. The remit centres on delta-one products such as cash equities, equity index futures and exchange-traded funds. The role balances commercial performance with approved risk limits, regulatory compliance and reliable execution across trading activity.

Key Responsibilities

• Set the desk’s strategic direction in line with broader trading objectives and market-access priorities, while identifying opportunities to strengthen the offering.
• Lead trade execution across cash equities, index futures and ETFs, seeking best execution and maintaining awareness of market structure and liquidity.
• Monitor exposures and profit-and-loss performance within approved limits, escalating breaches and recommending adjustments when required.
• Analyse macroeconomic developments, sector trends, liquidity flows and competitor activity to inform trading ideas and product evolution.
• Partner with Sales, Structuring, Risk, Compliance and Technology on execution quality, new-product readiness, process controls and operational efficiency.

Requirements and Qualifications

• At least 9 years of equities-trading experience with a strong track record in delta-one strategies across cash equities, index futures and ETFs.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or a related field.
• CFA, FRM or an equivalent qualification is preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership, risk-management expertise and a strong understanding of equity-market structure, liquidity and trading platforms.
