Description
Coordinate maintenance of industrial telecommunications systems at Habshan 5 and sulphur-related facilities. The engineer plans and follows up work, supports testing and troubleshooting of telecom and security systems, manages spare parts and materials and checks that maintenance tasks are completed safely and to specification. This full-time opportunity is based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, with duties and stakeholder interfaces shaped by the assigned function and asset.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate maintenance for industrial telecommunications systems and related equipment in the assigned area.
- Guide technicians during testing and troubleshooting of telecom, CCTV, PAGA, plant access-control and cable-network systems.
- Inspect task progress and prepare reports to support timely, high-quality execution of scheduled work.
- Confirm availability of tools, equipment, spares and materials and prepare purchase or material requisitions where required.
- Review incoming materials against specifications and verify their suitability before use.
- Use MAXIMO or equivalent work-order tools for planning, scheduling and analysing maintenance work and contractor activity.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering or equivalent professional qualification.
- At least 6 years of experience managing telecommunications engineering services in a large industrial organisation; oil and gas experience is preferred.
- Good knowledge of industrial telecommunications and experience with telecom, CCTV, PAGA, access-control and cable-network systems.
- Experience guiding technicians, supervising contractors and using MAXIMO for maintenance planning is beneficial.
