Electrical Technician

This Marriott International engineering and maintenance position supports reliable hotel operations by maintaining equipment, facilities and technical systems in safe working condition. The role responds to maintenance requests, performs preventive checks, identifies faults and completes repairs or finishing work within established procedures. Depending on the specialty, duties may cover electrical systems, HVAC equipment, kitchen equipment, general room maintenance, building finishes or other hotel engineering assets. The successful candidate should work methodically, document completed tasks, coordinate with hotel departments and escalate complex issues appropriately. Safety is a core requirement, including correct use of tools, personal protective equipment, isolation procedures and compliance with Marriott and local requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections and corrective repairs on assigned hotel systems or equipment.
• Respond to work orders and maintenance requests and restore equipment to safe operating condition.
• Diagnose faults using appropriate tools, technical knowledge and established procedures.
• Record completed work, parts used, readings and outstanding issues as required.
• Coordinate with Rooms, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage and other departments to minimize disruption.
• Maintain tools, spare parts and work areas in an organized condition.
• Follow electrical, HVAC, fire, occupational safety and other applicable procedures.
• Report unsafe conditions, recurring faults or major repair requirements to the appropriate supervisor.

Requirements

• Technical certificate, vocational qualification, diploma or equivalent trade training relevant to the specialty.
• Approximately 2 - 5 Years of relevant maintenance or engineering experience is preferred.
• Working knowledge of safe maintenance practices and relevant hotel engineering systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot faults and complete practical hands-on tasks.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility for shift work, emergency calls and hotel operational requirements.
