Job Overview

University Hospital Sharjah is recruiting for the Consultant Rheumatologist position in Sharjah, UAE. The role contributes to safe, high-quality hospital services and requires the successful candidate to work in accordance with applicable clinical, operational, regulatory and accreditation standards. Key Responsibilities

• Admit and assess patients with rheumatologic conditions and develop management plans.
• Order investigations, interpret results and adjust treatment.
• Conduct inpatient rounds and outpatient specialty clinics.
• Provide consultations from emergency, specialty and other hospital departments.
• Perform procedures within approved privileges and obtain informed consent where required.
• Maintain comprehensive and timely medical records.
• Participate in on-call coverage and multidisciplinary case discussions.
• Support JCI compliance, clinical pathways, quality improvement and hospital committees.

Job Requirements

• American Specialty Board or equivalent under UAE MOH equivalency requirements.
• At least 5 years clinical experience after certification in the specialty in an active accredited acute-care institution.
• UAE Ministry of Health license.
• BLS and ACLS are desirable.
• Strong academic, clinical, documentation and multidisciplinary skills.
