Description
About the Role
dnata is strengthening how technology gets delivered across its global operations — spanning Airport Operations, Cargo, Catering, Ground Handling, and Travel Services in nearly 30 countries. As part of Emirates Group, dnata blends the scale of a major aviation services business with the pace of modern delivery practices.
We're looking for an Agile Delivery Manager who's equally comfortable running agile ceremonies and managing structured, plan-driven programmes. You'll lead delivery teams — scrum squads, hybrid teams, or traditional project teams — across multiple concurrent, high-visibility technology initiatives spanning different countries and governance layers.
What You'll Be Doing
- Run key delivery ceremonies (sprint/PI planning, reviews, retrospectives) alongside traditional governance forums (steering committees, milestone reviews, stage gates) — choosing the right cadence for each initiative
- Blend agile and traditional project management practices (drawing on PMI and PMI-ACP methods) to match the right level of structure to each initiative's size and complexity
- Build a safe, trusting delivery environment — using servant leadership with agile teams and clear direction on structured project work
- Work with country, regional, and Head Office stakeholders to turn strategic roadmaps into actionable backlogs and project plans
- Own the full project lifecycle where relevant — scope, schedule, budget, risk, and dependencies — while maintaining agile delivery standards elsewhere
- Maintain delivery tooling (JIRA, ScrumDesk, MS Project, or similar) for consistent tracking and reporting
- Support and mentor teams, remove roadblocks, and represent delivery risks and dependencies to the right stakeholders
- Partner with Product and IT Service Management on transparency and service performance
- Define and continuously improve delivery processes, combining agile metrics (velocity, defect trends) with traditional project controls (cost/schedule variance, milestone tracking)
- Support cost estimation and total cost of ownership analysis, and contribute to annual forecasting
- Work with Product and Procurement teams to align RFx timing with each initiative's delivery approach
What You'll Need
- A degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Proven leadership and delivery experience in a matrix organisation with global teams
- 10+ years' experience in agile delivery and project management on large technology change programmes
- Certified SAFe and PMI-ACP (additional certifications like PMI, PRINCE2, or CSM are a plus), with 5+ years applying Scrum management in practice
- Comfortable with tools like ServiceNow, Planview, MS Project, JIRA, and Confluence
- Solid architectural knowledge of large-scale systems
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate technical detail for non-technical stakeholders
- A hands-on leadership style grounded in openness, honesty, and respect
