Cargo Agent – DWC

About the Role

dnata is one of the world's largest air and travel services providers, operating ground handling, cargo, travel, and catering & retail services at over 130 airports in more than 34 countries. We're hiring a Cargo Agent based at DWC (Dubai World Central) to keep cargo operations running smoothly from acceptance through to delivery.

You'll handle the full range of cargo activities — documentation, customer service, acceptance, delivery, build-up, breakdown, and equipment operation — ensuring every shipment moves safely and on schedule through Export and Import operations.

What You'll Be Doing

• Follow customer service and airline-specific policies and procedures to keep operations compliant with regulations and SLAs
• Stay on top of day-to-day tasks and be available for assigned duties in a timely manner
• Raise safety concerns openly with your Team Leader
• Follow all safety, quality, and environmental policies to maintain a healthy, safe work environment
• Guide and support a team of Loaders and Equipment Operators in cargo handling activities, including build-up, breakdown, and documentation
• Inspect and validate goods against documentation at every stage of handling to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Enter data into cargo systems accurately and on time
• Liaise with government authorities (Customs, Municipality, Health, Police) to keep cargo, courier, and mail moving smoothly
• Handle special cargo — dangerous goods, live animals, valuable goods — in line with IATA manuals
• Operate equipment such as tow trucks and forklifts to move loads
• Load and unload cargo from ULDs, aircraft, and trucks in a timely manner

What You'll Need

• A High School Certificate (12 years of schooling) or a related diploma
• 2–4 years of experience in logistics and cargo
• Solid IT and computer literacy
• Good written and spoken English communication skills
