Description
Kitopi is seeking an experienced Sous Chef – Pizza to support kitchen leadership in Dubai. The role combines hands-on pizza production with team supervision, quality control and daily kitchen coordination. The successful candidate will help the Head Chef manage operations, lead the pizza team, oversee dough preparation and fermentation, maintain ingredient standards and support menu development. Strong knowledge of Neapolitan, Roman or artisanal pizza styles and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced kitchen are important for this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations and service planning.
- Lead and train the pizza team to maintain consistent quality.
- Prepare, shape and cook pizzas using appropriate techniques.
- Oversee dough preparation, fermentation and ingredient management.
- Maintain hygiene, cleanliness and food-safety standards.
- Manage stock levels, ordering and portion control.
- Assist with menu updates and new pizza recipe development.
- Support smooth service during high-volume periods.
Requirements
- Proven pizza-making experience, including Neapolitan, Roman or artisanal styles.
- Previous experience as a Senior Pizza Chef or Sous Chef.
- Strong understanding of dough science, fermentation and baking.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Solid leadership and communication skills.
