Direct Entry Captain

The Direct Entry Captain is responsible for command-level operation of an assigned aircraft type and for leading the flight deck in safe, compliant and effective flight operations. The Captain exercises sound judgement, manages crew coordination and ensures company procedures and regulatory requirements are followed.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead flight preparation, operational decision-making and safe conduct of the flight.
• Assess aircraft status, weather, fuel, route, performance and operational risks before and during flight.
• Direct flight-deck coordination and work effectively with cabin crew and ground teams.
• Manage operational changes and make timely decisions in accordance with approved procedures.
• Ensure accurate flight records, reporting and continued compliance with training requirements.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Valid ICAO ATPL and unrestricted Class 1 medical.
• At least 7,000 total flight hours and relevant command experience on Airbus fly-by-wire aircraft, as required.
• At least 150 hours on the relevant aircraft type in the preceding 12 months, subject to the applicable pathway.
• English language proficiency level 5 or higher and compliance with current type and recency criteria.
