Footwear Designer (Womens Fashion)

Landmark Group is hiring a Footwear Designer for Women's Fashion to translate seasonal trends into commercial footwear collections. The role covers collection design, CAD development, technical specifications, sample review, market alignment and visual direction. The designer will work closely with buying and production stakeholders and use both conventional design tools and AI-assisted ideation to accelerate concept development.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate seasonal fashion trends into commercially relevant footwear styles and collections.
• Create detailed CAD designs, colorways and technical packs for production.
• Specify upper patterns, lasts, heel details, hardware and outsole designs for supplier communication.
• Review prototype samples for fit, material quality and technical execution and provide correction comments.
• Work with buying teams to meet target price points and range requirements.
• Develop 2D layouts for trims, buckles, branding plates and other hardware components.
• Create moodboards translating trends into color, texture and aesthetic directions.
• Use AI tools to iterate on logo concepts, patterns and moodboard imagery where appropriate.
• Collaborate with the Head of Design and cross-functional teams through concept and development stages.
• Maintain design consistency while considering manufacturing feasibility and commercial requirements.

Requirements & Qualifications

• 3-5 years of high-level Women's Fashion Footwear Design experience.
• Experience with fashion, footwear or luxury design environments is preferred.
• Expert proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; Procreate or similar tools are useful.
• Strong hand-sketching ability for early concepts.
• Ability to use AI tools such as ChatGPT, Midjourney, Firefly or DALL-E for ideation.
• Knowledge of lasts, heels, mold development and factory production workflows.
• Strong understanding of fashion trends, commercial design and product development.
