Assistant Manager – Buying (Home)

Landmark Group is hiring an Assistant Manager - Buying (Home) with experience in Bathroom and Home Textiles. The role supports seasonal range development, supplier relationships, inventory decisions and merchandising execution while helping ensure that products match customer preferences and brand direction. The position requires practical buying experience, commercial awareness and the ability to coordinate product, supplier and store activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop customer-focused seasonal product ranges in collaboration with buying teams.
• Maintain accurate range information and ensure products fit category structure, brand identity and customer expectations.
• Build productive supplier relationships through clear communication and timely issue resolution.
• Monitor sales, stock and warehouse inventory to support availability and replenishment decisions.
• Identify slow-moving and excess inventory and coordinate appropriate actions.
• Support merchandising standards across stores using market and competitor insights.
• Assist with buying budgets, product development and supplier negotiations.
• Conduct product and market research to identify new opportunities and customer trends.
• Coordinate product approvals, deliveries and vendor follow-up to maintain planned timelines.
• Prepare and maintain buying reports and relevant Excel-based analysis.
• Work with cross-functional teams to execute ranges and seasonal launches effectively.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of buying experience.
• Strong experience in Bathroom and Home Textiles is required.
• Understanding of buying budgets, vendor management and product development.
• Strong financial and business acumen.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Good negotiation, planning, execution and relationship-management skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively.
