HVAC Technician

The HVAC Technician installs, services, maintains, and repairs heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems to keep facilities safe, comfortable, and operating efficiently. The role diagnoses faults across mechanical, electrical, refrigerant, and control systems and completes preventive maintenance while following quality, health, safety, and environmental requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair air-conditioning, ventilation, heating, cooling, and associated equipment.
• Respond to HVAC complaints, diagnose faults, and complete timely repairs.
• Perform preventive maintenance, compressor replacement, copper-pipe brazing, refrigerant charging, and leak testing.
• Service AHUs, FCUs, split AC units, and other cooling systems.
• Carry out control wiring and interpret control schematics when troubleshooting.
• Keep service records, recommend improvements, and coordinate with the maintenance team.
• Identify hazards and comply with QHSE policies and site safety procedures.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Two to three years of HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair experience.
• Knowledge of compressors, heat exchangers, ductwork, thermostats, refrigerants, and related components.
• Proficiency with gauges, multimeters, leak detectors, and diagnostic tools.
• Ability to read HVAC blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Ability to work safely and document maintenance activity accurately.

Relevant Skills

• HVAC diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and repair.
• Refrigerant handling, electrical troubleshooting, and technical drawing interpretation.
• Safety compliance, teamwork, and fault reporting.
