Technician – Painter – Engineering – Jumeirah Living World Trade Centre

Jumeirah Living World Trade Centre is seeking a Painter Technician to support the engineering team at its luxury serviced-residence property in central Dubai. The role focuses on assigned work orders, preventive maintenance, corrective work and the upkeep of painted surfaces and finishes. The technician must complete jobs safely, efficiently and to the expected quality standard while minimising disruption to residents and hotel operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete assigned work orders, preventive planned maintenance tasks and corrective work authorisations within agreed timelines.
• Inspect painted surfaces, identify defects and carry out preparation, touch-ups, repairs and finishing work as directed.
• Follow engineering policies, safety instructions, work procedures and operational standards for all maintenance activities.
• Use suitable tools, materials and protective equipment, keeping work areas clean and safe during and after each task.
• Report additional defects or maintenance needs to the supervisor and update the status of assigned work accurately.
• Coordinate access and work timing with Front Office, Security, Housekeeping and Food and Beverage teams where necessary.
• Use relevant maintenance records and software tools to support job tracking, reporting and communication.

Requirements

• At least two years of experience in a similar painter or maintenance role within a hospitality environment is expected.
• Technical training or practical experience in painting, surface preparation and property maintenance is important.
• Familiarity with applications such as Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD or Oracle is beneficial.
• Candidates must communicate effectively with other departments and follow workplace safety and quality procedures.

• Ability to organise tasks, troubleshoot routine issues and meet maintenance deadlines.
