Project Engineer

The Project Engineer position with Sharaf DG in Dubai is responsible for coordinating project execution from planning through completion, with a strong focus on site supervision, schedule control, quality, safety and stakeholder communication. This full-time opportunity is based in Dubai, UAE and forms part of Sharaf DG’s retail, commercial or support operations. The successful candidate will be expected to combine attention to detail, reliable execution and professional communication with a practical understanding of the responsibilities associated with the position. The role requires the ability to follow established procedures while responding appropriately to changing customer, store or business requirements.

The position involves regular coordination with colleagues and other departments, so clear communication and dependable follow-through are important. Key Responsibilities

• Maintain project schedules, task lists, work hours, budgets and expenditure records and keep progress information current.
• Coordinate daily and weekly activities with subcontractors, monitor site progress and communicate updates to clients and project stakeholders.
• Document meeting decisions, follow up on assigned actions, prepare project-management calendars and monitor milestones against agreed deadlines.
• Review project risks and operational issues, identify practical solutions and escalate matters that could affect scope, quality, cost or delivery.
• Conduct or support site safety inspections, toolbox talks and safety coordination, ensuring workers use appropriate PPE and follow approved procedures.
• Monitor installation activities against drawings, specifications, approved materials and quality requirements and ensure defects are addressed promptly.
• Maintain inspection records, test documentation, progress reports and project files and support final handover and closure of outstanding punch-list items.

Candidate Profile

• Relevant experience: 2+ Years.
• Education/eligibility: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics or equivalent).
• Strong communication, teamwork, customer focus and professional conduct are important for the position.
• Ability to follow procedures, maintain accurate records and meet operational deadlines.
• Comfort with computers and workplace systems is expected where relevant to the role.
• Candidates should be prepared to work in a fast-paced retail or business environment and collaborate with different teams.
