Description
The Senior Project Engineer supports the technical planning and delivery of customer projects, coordinating engineering work from scope definition through implementation and handover. The role helps turn contractual requirements into workable plans, coordinates technical inputs, monitors risks and milestones, and keeps customers and project teams informed. Success depends on solid engineering judgement, attention to project controls, and consistent focus on safety, quality, and delivery commitments.
Key Responsibilities
- Review project scope, specifications, schedules, and customer requirements to establish the technical work plan.
- Coordinate engineering deliverables, drawings, equipment information, and technical clarifications across project functions.
- Monitor progress against project milestones and identify risks, interface issues, or resource constraints early.
- Work with procurement, site teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to resolve technical and delivery questions.
- Participate in customer meetings, design reviews, technical submissions, and project status reporting.
- Ensure engineering outputs follow applicable standards, company procedures, quality plans, and health and safety requirements.
- Support testing, commissioning, documentation, and final handover so the delivered solution meets agreed requirements.
Requirements and Qualifications
- A relevant engineering degree or equivalent technical background.
- Experience in project engineering, technical coordination, engineering delivery, or customer-project execution.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications, drawings, schedules, and scope documents.
- Confidence coordinating cross-functional activities and communicating with customers and suppliers.
- Understanding of project quality, risk management, and safety requirements.
