CONTRACTS ENGINEER

Provide professional contract and tendering support, from preparation of the scope of work through evaluation, negotiation, award and closeout. The role helps business teams manage manpower call-off arrangements and related contractual matters while ensuring that decisions, documentation and contract administration follow approved procedures.

The role requires collaboration across relevant teams, accurate documentation and early escalation of risks that may affect safety, quality or delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review tender scopes, technical and commercial documentation and contract requirements.
• Evaluate bids, support negotiations and provide advice on contractual risk, obligations and proposed changes.
• Coordinate the administration of manpower call-off contracts and related procurement or tendering activities.
• Track deliverables, milestones, variation requests, claims and closeout documentation throughout the contract lifecycle.
• Work with technical teams, procurement, finance and legal stakeholders to resolve contract issues.

Requirements and Experience

• At least 15 years of multidisciplinary experience, including ten years in oil and gas or major industrial environments, is required.
• Experience preparing, evaluating and negotiating large, complex contracts is important.
• Candidates should demonstrate sound judgement, accurate documentation and the ability to manage complex contractual matters.

Qualifications

BSc in Engineering or Quantity Surveying; postgraduate qualification in Contract or Project Management desirable
