This position is part of manufacturing maintenance team leadership and contributes to reliable, professional day-to-day delivery. The successful candidate will follow established procedures, maintain accurate information and work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve agreed standards.
Key Responsibilities
The main responsibilities include the following:
- Organise planned maintenance, inspection tasks and equipment-repair priorities for the assigned team.
- Coordinate technicians and ensure jobs follow safety, hygiene and equipment procedures.
- Monitor breakdowns, repeat failures, work orders and spare-part needs, escalating risks to production.
- Maintain maintenance records, shift reports and equipment history in available systems.
- Coach team members and support continuous improvement in reliability, response time and work quality.
A practical understanding of the function, sound prioritisation and timely escalation will help protect quality, safety, cost and customer commitments.
Requirements and Qualifications
- A mechanical or electrical degree/diploma or equivalent technical education is relevant.
- Hands-on maintenance experience in food, dairy or infant-nutrition manufacturing is useful; several years of experience are expected for a senior role.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and SAP or a similar maintenance system is beneficial.
- Candidates should be self-motivated, safety-conscious and confident coordinating a technical team.
Candidates should show relevant experience, learn local procedures quickly and meet any required statutory or professional standards.
