Senior Laboratory Technician – Ready Mix Factory

Perform laboratory testing and quality-control activities for raw materials and fresh or hardened concrete. The role verifies compliance with approved mix designs, project specifications and applicable standards, while keeping accurate test records and working closely with the batching plant, production staff and quality engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect and test cement, aggregates, water and chemical admixtures.
• Carry out fresh-concrete tests such as slump, temperature, density/unit weight and air content where applicable.
• Prepare concrete cubes or cylinders and perform compressive-strength testing at specified ages.
• Monitor mix designs and trial mixes and conduct aggregate tests such as sieve analysis, moisture content, specific gravity and absorption.
• Check cement and admixture quality using test results and supplier certificates.
• Maintain laboratory records, test reports and calibration documentation.
• Investigate non-conforming results and assist with root-cause analysis and corrective action.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Relevant laboratory or materials-testing experience in ready-mix concrete or construction.
• Knowledge of concrete, aggregate and raw-material testing methods.
• Ability to follow standard test procedures and maintain reliable records.
• Comfort coordinating results with production, batching plant and site quality teams.
