Vice President – Collections Strategy

RAKBANK is seeking a Vice President - Collections Strategy for its banking operations in the United Arab Emirates. Job Overview

The collections role supports responsible recovery of overdue balances while treating customers fairly and maintaining accurate account records. At a strategy level, it shapes segmentation, contact approaches, prioritisation and performance monitoring to improve recovery outcomes and manage portfolio risk.

Key Responsibilities

• Review delinquent accounts, payment status, customer circumstances and available recovery information.
• Contact customers professionally to explain outstanding amounts, payment options and next steps.
• Agree or coordinate appropriate repayment arrangements within approved policy and authority.
• Maintain complete records of conversations, commitments, follow-ups and case outcomes.
• Monitor recovery performance, contact effectiveness, complaints and exceptions against agreed measures.
• Escalate complex cases, disputes, vulnerability concerns or potential fraud in line with procedures.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Experience in collections, recoveries, credit operations, customer service or banking is relevant.
• Understanding of repayment processes, account records, customer communication and basic risk indicators is useful.
• Candidates should be persistent but respectful, organised and comfortable working to performance targets.
• For strategy leadership, experience with portfolio analysis, segmentation, policy design and team performance is particularly valuable.
