Job overview: Commercial Bank of Dubai is seeking a Head Teller (UAE National) to join its banking team in the United Arab Emirates. Support branch cash operations and oversee important teller activities, including cash management, cheque deposit machine functions and transaction reviews. The role helps maintain operational accuracy, service quality and compliance with branch procedures. The successful candidate will work with colleagues and stakeholders to support reliable service, sound decisions and the bank’s operating standards. This vacancy is intended for UAE Nationals.
Key responsibilities
- Manage cheque deposit machine activities, including collection, reconciliation of physical cheques and timely transfer to the clearing department.
- Process special-clearing and foreign-currency cheques within agreed service timelines.
- Support vault and cash-management procedures, including controls for bulk deposits and withdrawals.
- Review teller vouchers and transaction records to confirm that daily totals reconcile with system reports.
- Guide tellers on procedures, service standards and the correct handling of branch transactions.
- Assist with routine teller duties and resolve operational matters within assigned authority.
Requirements and qualifications
- This position is reserved for a UAE National.
- Experience in branch banking, teller operations and cash transaction controls is relevant.
- Strong accuracy, customer service and understanding of cheque and cash procedures are important.
- Demonstrated ability to organise work, manage priorities and meet agreed deadlines.
- A professional approach, sound judgement and commitment to accuracy and confidentiality are important.
