Buying Intern

Babyshop, part of Landmark Group, is offering a three-month Buying Intern opportunity within the Girls' Clothing Buying Team. The intern will support buyers and the quality team with fit sessions, sample management, product information, supplier coordination and trading reports. The role provides hands-on exposure to apparel buying, product development, merchandising processes and retail market research.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Buyers and the QA team in preparing samples for regular fit sessions.
• Attend weekly fit sessions and help maintain product quality and fit standards.
• Update buying comments and product information accurately in the PLM system.
• Coordinate with suppliers on sample submissions, approvals and delivery timelines.
• Track critical paths and provide weekly delivery-status updates and early warnings for delays.
• Prepare weekly product-performance and trading reports for the buying team.
• Track samples, approvals and seasonal or phase-wise development activities.
• Prepare samples for product reviews, photoshoots and e-commerce shoots.
• Support allocation and franchise-file preparation after range reviews.
• Assist with presentations, monthly review reports and strategic meetings.
• Prepare Order Confirmation sheets and communicate order details to suppliers.
• Conduct store visits and competitor shopping to provide market insights.
• Maintain product-flow charts and organized sample areas.
• Provide general administrative and operational support to the Buying team.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Educational background in Fashion Apparel, Retail, Merchandising or a related field.
• Prior internship or work experience in apparel merchandising or buying is preferred.
• Proactive, detail-oriented and organized approach.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work with PLM systems, reports and product documentation.
