Description
The Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License Scholarship Programme offers eligible Emirati students a sponsored route into aircraft maintenance. Training combines theory and practical learning, followed by supervised experience on live aircraft and progression towards the relevant licence, subject to successful completion of training and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete academic and practical modules covering aircraft maintenance principles and procedures.
- Learn to use technical documentation, tools and workshop equipment safely.
- Carry out supervised maintenance activities and record work accurately during practical training.
- Build experience on live aircraft while following approved procedures and instructor guidance.
- Complete assessments and meet the applicable regulator’s requirements for licence progression.
Requirements and Qualifications
- UAE national with passport and Khulasat Al Qaid.
- Typically age 18–24 and Grade 12 result of at least 80%, as stated for the programme.
- Meet English proficiency requirements, such as IELTS 6.0 or the stated TOEFL equivalent.
- Medically fit and meeting national-service conditions before joining, where applicable.

- Strong mathematics and physics foundations.
- Safety awareness, precision and disciplined documentation.
- Manual dexterity, practical problem-solving and a learning mindset.
- Ability to follow technical instructions and work as part of a maintenance team.
