Design Coordinator- UAE National

Al Tayer Group is seeking a Design Coordinator for projects in Dubai, with the position advertised for a UAE National. The role coordinates design activities among clients, external consultants, Project Managers, landlords and site teams to ensure design intent, specifications and project requirements are maintained through handover. The Coordinator will support design planning and detailed development, monitor progress and identify opportunities for design improvements or amendments. Responsibilities include checking that drawings, documents, variations and other required deliverables are complete, accurate and submitted on schedule and in accordance with the project brief. The role also requires reviewing client manuals and project applications and supporting site compliance. Regular communication with site teams is important to ensure design information is clearly understood and additional technical or design details are provided when required during execution. The Coordinator will conduct site visits, record observations, perform compliance checks and prepare design review reports. Issues such as client complaints, design errors, site adjustments or required changes should be escalated to the Project Manager with practical suggestions. Regular progress reporting is also required. Candidates should hold a degree in Architecture with good knowledge of concept and detailed drawings and designs, preferably gained in interior fit-out projects. Around 2–3 years of AutoCAD experience and strong problem-solving ability are specified.

• Maintain accurate records, reports and databases and provide updates to management on progress, issues and required actions.
• Support continuous improvement by identifying operational issues, customer requirements and opportunities to improve efficiency and service quality.

Requirements

• UAE National
• Degree in Architecture
• 2–3 years of experience with AutoCAD
• Knowledge of concept and detailed drawings and design development
• Interior fit-out experience is preferred
• Strong coordination, site-review and problem-solving skills
