Description
Hamad International Airport is seeking a Senior Business Improvement Analyst to improve operational efficiency, particularly across baggage-handling and related airport systems. The role analyses and redesigns processes, leads improvement projects, produces performance reporting and works with stakeholders to reduce cost, strengthen system availability and improve passenger and baggage service. This vacancy is designated for Qatari candidates.
The role depends on accurate information, clear accountability and timely follow-through. Practical communication, suitable records, stakeholder coordination and a continuous-improvement mindset help deliver dependable results.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse, redesign and document baggage-handling operational and business processes.
- Lead continuous-improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, DMAIC, Kaizen or similar methods.
- Produce regular KPI reports covering system availability, service-level compliance, mishandled bags and related metrics.
- Use operational data and external benchmarks to identify improvement opportunities and support decisions.
- Coordinate with technical, operational and commercial stakeholders on process changes and system improvements.
- Support contract, procurement and CAPEX/OPEX documentation where it contributes to operational delivery.
Requirements
- Qatari nationals may apply with a bachelor’s degree and no prior experience under the stated national pathway.
- For other qualifying pathways, a relevant engineering or business degree with at least 4 years, or diploma/vocational qualification with at least 5 years, is indicated.
- Airport operations experience, especially baggage handling or screening systems, is preferred.
- Lean Six Sigma, project-management credentials, reporting skills and advanced MS Office are beneficial.
