General Accountant

Joga Ram General Trading L.L.C, a well-established multi-division trading group operating across Construction, Interior Fit-Out, Manufacturing, Trading, and Real Estate sectors in Dubai, is currently seeking an experienced and results-driven General Accountant to join its finance team. This is an immediate full-time opportunity for an accounting professional ready to take ownership of comprehensive accounts payable operations across multiple business units.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the complete accounts payable cycle across multiple companies and branch locations within the group.
• Verify and process supplier invoices by cross-referencing purchase orders, delivery notes, and relevant supporting documentation.
• Prepare and maintain payment schedules to ensure all vendor payments are made within agreed credit terms.
• Reconcile supplier statements, identify discrepancies, and resolve payment disputes in a timely manner.
• Process advance payments, retention payments, and subcontractor payments accurately and efficiently.
• Monitor and analyze accounts payable aging reports; prepare MIS reports for management review.
• Actively support month-end and year-end financial closing activities and coordinate with internal and external auditors.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
• 2–3 years of hands-on experience in an Accounts Payable function.
• Prior experience in Construction, Interior Fit-Out, Manufacturing, or Trading industries is a strong advantage.
• Proficiency in ERP accounting systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Solid knowledge of UAE VAT compliance requirements and financial regulations.
• Strong communication and vendor management skills with keen attention to detail.
