Software Development Engineer 1 – UAE National

The Software Development Engineer I helps develop and maintain reliable software features for customer-facing or internal digital systems. Working with experienced engineers, the role translates requirements into code, verifies changes through testing and supports troubleshooting. This UAE National position is suited to a candidate with a solid technical foundation, an analytical mindset and the motivation to improve software quality in a fast-moving environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement well-scoped product features and service improvements based on engineering specifications and team priorities.
• Write readable, maintainable code and participate in peer review to learn established design and quality practices.
• Create or update automated tests, reproduce reported defects and help identify the cause of unexpected system behaviour.
• Collaborate with product, QA and operations teams to prepare releases and resolve issues after deployment.
• Keep technical notes and contribute suggestions that simplify implementation, testing or ongoing maintenance.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Meet the UAE National eligibility requirement for the position.
• Have a degree or equivalent foundation in computer science, software engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Understand basic programming, data structures, algorithms and software-development lifecycle concepts.
• Be willing to receive code-review feedback, learn unfamiliar technologies and work collaboratively toward delivery goals.
