Senior Technician, Mechanical Maintenance (Static) (ST/DGD)

Perform maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting and repairs for static mechanical equipment at operating facilities. The technician supports vessels, tanks, columns, heat exchangers and piping, helps prepare for shutdowns and commissioning and reports integrity concerns promptly to protect safe and reliable operation. This full-time opportunity is based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, with duties and stakeholder interfaces shaped by the assigned function and asset.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance on vessels, tanks, columns, heat exchangers and piping systems.
• Complete internal and external inspections, gasket replacement, bolt tightening, leak repairs, flange management and related fit-up work.
• Disassemble, clean, inspect, reassemble and test equipment such as air coolers, strainers, filters, receivers and pig traps.
• Support integrity inspections, thickness checks and anomaly investigations, reporting corrosion, deformation, cracks or other defects.
• Participate in confined-space entry and equipment maintenance during shutdowns while following permit and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with supervisors, operations, integrity, planning, reliability teams, contractors and vendors during repairs and handovers.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 5–7 years of mechanical-maintenance experience covering static and rotating equipment.
• Experience in oil and gas operating facilities, shutdowns and integrity activities is required.
• Candidates should be able to interpret equipment documentation and maintain a strong safety focus during maintenance work.
