Maternal & Fetal Medicine Physician

This position contributes to maternal and fetal medicine through professional judgement and collaboration. The successful candidate will deliver agreed objectives, maintain accurate records and support consistent, high-quality outcomes within the department’s priorities and approved scope.

Key Responsibilities

Provide specialist assessment and ongoing management for pregnancies with maternal, fetal or obstetric risk factors. Review medical and obstetric histories, interpret ultrasound and other diagnostic findings, coordinate screening and diagnostic pathways, and explain risks and care options to expectant parents. Develop individualized monitoring and management plans, collaborate with obstetricians, sonographers, genetic services, neonatologists and other specialists, and coordinate care for complex pregnancies. Document findings accurately, support informed decision-making and contribute to clinical governance, audit and patient-safety initiatives.

Requirements and Qualifications

Applicants should hold a recognized medical degree and advanced specialist training in maternal-fetal medicine or an accepted equivalent, along with an appropriate current licence or eligibility for the relevant UAE health-authority category. Relevant experience in high-risk obstetrics, prenatal assessment and multidisciplinary care is expected. Strong diagnostic judgement, sensitive communication, professionalism and evidence-based practice are essential.
