The Production Foreman or Supervisor coordinates people, materials and equipment to help meet daily production requirements. The role monitors progress, supports product quality and reinforces safety procedures. Depending on seniority, the position may also assist with planning, resource allocation, reporting and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Review the production plan, staffing and material availability before work begins.
• Allocate tasks and guide operators to meet quality and output requirements.
• Monitor production flow, identify bottlenecks and coordinate responses to downtime or shortages.
• Check records and product quality, and report deviations or corrective actions.
• Maintain housekeeping and reinforce safety rules, PPE and equipment procedures.

Requirements and Qualifications

Candidates should have experience relevant to manufacturing or production operations and be comfortable coordinating daily work. Practical problem solving, team communication and attention to quality and safety are important. Requirements vary with the level of responsibility.
