Key Responsibilities

The main responsibilities include the following:

  • Plan and coordinate vehicle movements, dispatches and delivery schedules to meet depot requirements.
  • Monitor fleet availability, driver allocation, trip progress, delays and delivery exceptions.
  • Ensure transport records, licences, vehicle documentation and safety checks remain current.
  • Liaise with warehouses, depots, drivers and customer-facing teams to resolve distribution issues.
  • Review transport costs, service performance and recurring route or utilisation problems.

A practical understanding of the function, sound prioritisation and timely escalation will help protect quality, safety, cost and customer commitments.
