Job Overview
The Teller supports daily branch transactions and customer service. The role requires accurate processing, careful cash handling, clear communication and consistent application of controls so customers can complete routine banking activities securely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Process deposits, withdrawals, payments and other permitted counter transactions accurately.
- Verify customer details, signatures, instructions and supporting documents in line with procedures.
- Balance cash and transaction records, report discrepancies and follow escalation requirements.
- Explain routine services and direct complex requests to the appropriate branch colleague.
- Protect customer confidentiality and follow anti-fraud, customer-identification and transaction controls.
- Maintain an orderly counter, complete required records and support branch service standards.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Customer-service, cash-handling or transaction-processing experience is relevant.
- Basic numeracy, accuracy and comfort following formal processes are important.
- Candidates should communicate politely, handle confidential information responsibly and remain attentive during busy periods.
