Technician 2, Carpenter – Residences

The Technician 2, Carpenter supports the safe and reliable upkeep of residential and resort facilities. The work includes carpentry repairs and a broader range of maintenance tasks where team support is needed, with a focus on preventive maintenance, quick issue resolution and guest-area readiness. The successful candidate will be practical, safety conscious and able to work methodically while coordinating with other technicians and operational departments. The position is based in Dubai, UAE, and offers an opportunity to contribute to a professional team focused on consistent service, quality and operational results.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance and assigned repairs according to approved procedures and maintenance priorities.
• Complete carpentry tasks and assist with related facilities work involving rooms, public areas, mechanical or electrical systems as directed.
• Diagnose faults, troubleshoot problems and escalate issues that require specialist support or senior approval.
• Coordinate with housekeeping and front office when maintenance requires room access, scheduling or temporary room blocking.
• Maintain tools, report material needs, assist with inventory and complete the documentation required for maintenance activities.
• Respond to hazard notices and emergency requests while following health, safety and restricted-access procedures.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Three to five years of experience in a maintenance trade or facilities environment is expected.
• A diploma or trade school certificate is required.
• Practical carpentry and related maintenance knowledge, diagnostic ability and troubleshooting skills are important.
• Candidates should work efficiently under pressure and communicate issues clearly to team leaders.
• Flexibility for shift coverage and willingness to help colleagues with related tasks are required.
