Technician 2 (Audio Visual) – Atlantis the Royal

The Audio Visual Technician will provide technical support for conferences, events and internal clients across a luxury resort environment. The position covers equipment setup and dismantling, testing, preventive maintenance, first-line troubleshooting and coordination with external contractors. A practical understanding of professional audio, projection and lighting systems is required, together with a strong focus on safety, reliability and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, test, operate and dismantle audio visual equipment for conferences, meetings, events and internal requirements in accordance with established standards.
• Complete scheduled preventive maintenance on resort-owned AV equipment and maintain equipment in clean, safe and operational condition.
• Verify event technical requirements and monitor external contractor setups to ensure installations meet required quality and safety standards.
• Conduct regular sound-level checks on installed background music systems and maintain accurate operational reports.
• Perform first-line maintenance, equipment cleaning and storage while escalating technical faults that require specialist intervention.
• Work closely with AV colleagues, event stakeholders and customers to understand requirements, solve technical problems and maintain smooth event delivery.

Requirements

• Minimum two years of audio visual experience, preferably within a hotel, resort, aquapark or recreational environment.
• Practical knowledge of event projection, lighting and professional audio systems.
• Experience with distributed resort audio systems; QSC experience is advantageous.
• Experience working as an event or conference technician and with professional digital mixing consoles.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication and critical-thinking skills; fluent English is advantageous.
