Description

flydubai is looking for a Supervisor - Cargo Operations to support safe, secure and efficient cargo and mail activities at Dubai World Central (DWC). The role involves coordinating shift operations, supporting staff deployment, monitoring service providers and maintaining high standards across import, export and special-handling activities. The successful candidate will help protect schedule integrity while improving operational efficiency, customer service and cargo revenue performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate shift-based deployment of operations staff handling cargo, courier and mail across the network.
  • Monitor operational capacity and efficiency while supporting revenue and service objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve import and export processes in cooperation with internal stakeholders.
  • Manage contracted service providers against agreed KPIs, service levels and operational standards.
  • Conduct quality checks, verify documentation and address operational gaps with the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Participate in audits, assessments and operational projects and complete required follow-up actions.
  • Maintain safety, security and schedule-integrity standards within a 24/7 operating environment.
  • Oversee special-handling requirements for dangerous goods, live animals, valuables and other sensitive shipments.
  • Support business-plan implementation and assist with capacity decisions for oversized cargo.
  • Respond to operational queries from load controllers, operating crew and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare cargo load plans and coordinate transportation arrangements with ground handling partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant cargo, airport, logistics or aviation operations experience.
  • Fluent English.
  • Knowledge of Dangerous Goods Regulations, live animal and perishable cargo requirements, aviation security and safety management systems.
  • Relevant IATA CBTA or UAE GCAA dangerous-goods training is advantageous and aligned with the role requirements.
  • Valid UAE driving licence.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, decision-making, leadership and problem-solving abilities.
