Speech – Language Therapist/Pathologist (UAE National)

Job Overview

SEHA is hiring a UAE National Speech-Language Therapist/Pathologist to evaluate and treat speech, language, cognitive, fluency, voice, swallowing and feeding disorders. The role involves clinical assessment, individualized therapy planning, family education, multidisciplinary coordination, documentation, infection control and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a clinical caseload involving developmental speech and language delay, communication disorders, dysfluency and motor-speech difficulties.
• Conduct detailed case histories covering medical, social, psychological, educational and developmental information.
• Use standardized assessments, observation and clinical reasoning to establish baseline measures and support differential diagnosis.
• Develop and implement individualized and group treatment plans targeting attention, listening, language, speech production, interaction and related communication needs.
• Provide guidance to families, carers, educators and other professionals on communication and oro-motor support strategies.
• Deliver therapy interventions that can be incorporated into the patient's daily routines and learning environment.
• Build productive therapeutic relationships with patients and families while considering communication, behavioural, psychological and cultural factors.
• Collaborate with internal and external agencies and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to support coordinated care.
• Monitor therapy equipment and report faults or maintenance requirements promptly.
• Maintain infection-control, safety, confidentiality and professional standards in all clinical activities.

Requirements

• UAE National candidates only.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Speech and Hearing Sciences or Speech-Language Pathology.
• Relevant professional qualification in speech-language pathology, speech therapy or a related approved discipline.
• Strong assessment, clinical reasoning, treatment-planning and documentation skills.
• Arabic communication skills are desirable.
• Ability to work effectively with patients, families, educators and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
