Software Development Engineer (UAE Nationals)

The Software Development Engineer contributes to the design, implementation and improvement of digital products and backend services used in a high-volume commerce environment. The role is suitable for a UAE National early in their engineering career who can learn quickly, write maintainable code and collaborate with product, design, testing and operations colleagues. Engineers are expected to consider reliability, performance, security and customer impact throughout the development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain application components, services and APIs in line with agreed technical requirements and engineering standards.
• Break down product requirements into practical implementation tasks and contribute to code reviews and technical discussions.
• Write unit tests, troubleshoot defects and investigate performance or production issues with support from experienced engineers.
• Work with product managers, designers and QA colleagues to release changes safely and measure their effect.
• Document technical decisions and improve code quality, observability and deployment practices over time.

Requirements and Qualifications
