Senior Technical Engineer – IT (Full Stack)

flydubai is seeking a Senior Technical Engineer - IT (Full Stack) to design, develop and deliver enterprise-grade technology solutions that support airline operations. The role combines hands-on software engineering with solution design, stakeholder engagement and technical leadership. The successful candidate will work across the application lifecycle, from understanding business requirements and defining technical solutions to development, deployment, troubleshooting and modernization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, development and deployment of enterprise applications using .NET and .NET Core.
• Develop scalable and maintainable solutions using C#, ASP.NET and modern software engineering practices.
• Apply object-oriented programming, design patterns and SOLID principles to deliver robust applications.
• Work with airline-specific platforms and workflows, including passenger service, reservation, ticketing and loyalty systems.
• Ensure solutions align with relevant airline and IATA standards and operational requirements.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define specifications and translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Work closely with QA, DevOps and product teams throughout delivery.
• Troubleshoot complex production and application issues and minimize operational disruption.
• Support application modernization and cloud migration initiatives involving platforms such as Azure and AWS.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and promote coding standards and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline.
• At least 7 years of hands-on .NET development experience, including ASP.NET, .NET Core and C#.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns and SOLID principles.
• Experience with Azure or another cloud platform for application deployment and monitoring.
• Experience gathering requirements and communicating technical solutions to business stakeholders.
• Modern front-end framework experience such as Angular or React is advantageous.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and airline systems is highly relevant.
• Fluent English communication skills.
