Description

Business development role managing corporate relationships and growing cash-management, corporate-card, and digital transaction-banking solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Develop relationships with wholesale and business-banking clients; understand their transaction flows, liquidity needs, and operational challenges; originate opportunities for payments, collections, liquidity management, corporate cards, and electronic banking; achieve sales and revenue targets; prepare tailored proposals and product demonstrations; coordinate solution design and implementation with Product, Operations, Technology, and Compliance; monitor market and competitor developments; support clients after implementation; resolve service concerns; and ensure all recommendations comply with approved policies and regulations.

Requirements and Qualifications

The advertised profile asks for a bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related discipline and at least five years in cash-management sales, transaction banking, corporate cards, corporate banking, or related financial services. Knowledge of payments, collections, liquidity, digital banking platforms, and UAE/GCC market practices is important. Strong negotiation, consultative selling, commercial judgement, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills are expected.

Client delivery: A consultative approach is essential: recommendations should reflect the client’s transaction volumes, operational processes, control needs, and growth plans. The manager should set realistic implementation expectations and coordinate a clear handover between sales, product, operations, and technology teams. Ongoing account reviews can identify service improvements and additional needs while maintaining trust. Accurate pipeline forecasts, commercially sound proposals, and careful risk awareness support sustainable growth across the portfolio.

Skills and Competencies

Strong communication, organisation, problem-solving, attention to detail, teamwork, and sound professional judgement are important. The successful applicant should work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders, maintain accurate records, handle information responsibly, and follow relevant policies and procedures. Specific employment terms, salary, benefits, and work arrangements should be confirmed during the recruitment process.
