Description

Agile delivery role leading onboarding and everyday-banking squads within a business-banking context, combining Scrum facilitation with proxy product ownership.

Key Responsibilities

Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives; manage day-to-day backlog prioritisation; write and refine user stories and acceptance criteria; validate completed work against agreed outcomes; translate product strategy into delivery-ready increments; deputise for the Digital Product Owner in stakeholder forums and decisions; coordinate dependencies across squads; manage delivery risks and release cycles; monitor delivery metrics; and keep business, design, technology, and operations stakeholders aligned on priorities and customer outcomes.

Requirements and Qualifications

The advertised profile seeks approximately 8–12 years in digital delivery, product ownership, or agile delivery within large-scale technology environments. Proven experience as a Scrum Master and proxy product owner, preferably in banking or financial services, is important. Candidates should have delivered digital onboarding or everyday-banking products, managed backlogs and dependencies, and communicated progress and risks to senior stakeholders. A bachelor’s degree is required; certifications such as PSM, CSPO, or SAFe are advantageous.

Delivery and stakeholder alignment: The role should maintain a shared view of priorities, sprint commitments, cross-squad dependencies, release readiness, and unresolved decisions. User stories must connect business objectives to testable outcomes, and progress reporting should surface risks early. The successful candidate will encourage continuous improvement, resolve impediments constructively, and support product decisions when the product owner is unavailable. Strong judgement and calm communication are essential in a fast-moving digital banking environment.

Skills and Competencies

Strong communication, organisation, problem-solving, attention to detail, teamwork, and sound professional judgement are important. The successful applicant should work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders, maintain accurate records, handle information responsibly, and follow relevant policies and procedures. Specific employment terms, salary, benefits, and work arrangements should be confirmed during the recruitment process.
