Description
Senior business-banking growth role developing cross-sell and upsell strategies to increase product penetration, client value, and portfolio profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Design and execute cross-sell strategies across business-banking customers; identify opportunities to deepen relationships and expand product usage; analyse sales performance, conversion, product uptake, and portfolio trends; develop dashboards and management reporting; coordinate campaigns with frontline sales, Product, Analytics, Operations, and Digital teams; track execution against targets; prepare executive presentations and business reviews; identify performance gaps; recommend targeted initiatives; and align field activity with business priorities and revenue goals.
Requirements and Qualifications
The advertised profile requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent and at least eight years of banking experience, ideally in business or SME banking, sales strategy, portfolio management, product management, or analytics. Strong understanding of business-banking products, sales processes, commercial drivers, and performance measurement is important. Candidates should demonstrate strategic thinking, analytical and dashboarding skills, senior stakeholder influence, executive communication, and a track record of delivering growth.
Execution and oversight: Growth initiatives should be supported by clear target segments, relevant offers, frontline guidance, and monitoring that distinguishes meaningful customer value from short-term sales activity. The role should review campaign outcomes, conversion barriers, customer feedback, and compliance indicators, then refine plans accordingly. Effective collaboration with relationship teams ensures strategies can be executed consistently in the field. Clear accountability, accurate reporting, and disciplined follow-through are important to delivering sustainable portfolio growth.
Skills and Competencies
Strong communication, organisation, problem-solving, attention to detail, teamwork, and sound professional judgement are important. The successful applicant should work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders, maintain accurate records, handle information responsibly, and follow relevant policies and procedures. Specific employment terms, salary, benefits, and work arrangements should be confirmed during the recruitment process.
