Physical Therapist

The Physical Therapist provides direct rehabilitation care and develops individualized treatment plans to improve mobility, reduce pain and restore function. The role begins with patient assessment and goal setting, applies appropriate therapeutic techniques and equipment, and reviews progress to support safe, effective and measurable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete patient assessments and reassessments, including functional status, movement, pain and relevant therapy needs.
• Set realistic treatment goals and develop care plans appropriate to each patient’s condition and abilities.
• Deliver physiotherapy interventions using suitable therapeutic techniques and assistive devices or equipment when required.
• Monitor response to treatment and adjust the care plan based on progress, safety and clinical judgement.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, positioning, safe mobility and strategies for continuing progress outside sessions.
• Coordinate with physicians, nurses and other rehabilitation professionals to support continuity of care.
• Document assessments, treatment delivered, patient response and recommendations accurately.
• Maintain equipment and treatment areas safely and follow infection-prevention and patient-safety procedures.

Requirements and Skills

• Recognized degree or qualification in Physiotherapy.
• Applicable professional registration or UAE/DHA licensing eligibility for clinical practice.
• Knowledge of patient assessment, rehabilitation planning, functional movement and safe use of therapy equipment.
• Strong interpersonal communication, clinical reasoning and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently within professional scope and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
